My Philosophy

In contrast to many areas of photography, weddings in particular are best served in my opinion by having a feminine vision as well as a strong graphic eye. My goal is to distill the basic elements of light, composition and human emotion into classically styled imagery. I believe in this over processed and heavy application age of photography, the art of "getting it right in the camera" is often lost. While I myself enjoy and have mastered the art of editing and playing in Photoshop I worry that years from now when your looking back on your wedding albums, will you find ones self looking at these over processed images with the same cringe looking at an old outdated prom dress may bring.

I believe the computer should be a tool in your photographers arsenal of talents, not the way he or she saves a bad picture. I think graphic design should never over ride the imagination or inspiration of an artist eye. I strive to know my couples and capture the chemistry between two people and the vision they had for their special day. That is after all what true memories are made of.
